4 Festive Holiday Party Themes
‘Tis the Holiday Party Season, over the next several weeks we’ll gather with family, friends and co-workers to celebrate the spirit of the season. If you’ve been tapped to host this year, we have four distinct themed menus and decor tips from our event planner Michael, guaranteed to help you throw the perfect party.
Reverse Christmas in July
If you’re Southern, hate the cold or just love pulled pork sliders, we have just the theme for you. Heard of Christmas in July? Well, this menu celebrates July at Christmas. The two main features speak to to the heart of southern cooking, our BBQ station lets your guests nibble corn on the cob and load up on sliders; all while waiting for the Grill Master’s Station to offer up hot dogs and hamburgers crafted to your guests liking. The down home feeling continues with Boston Baked Beans and a Three Creamy Mac & Cheese rounding out the menu to perfection. Feature a Spiked Arnold Palmer in your bar service and finish off the event with S’more Mason Jars.
To mix this theme with the spirit of the season play up the BBQ; select a red and white checkered table cloth. Add pine garlands to the table either placed straight down the middle or like a tic tac toe board depending how you’re setting up. Accent with gold candle holders and glittered pine cones, arranged in clusters. Take it one step further by choosing a simple white china, gold linen napkins and wooden handled flatware.

Holiday Movie Night
“Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!” - It’s a Wonderful Life!
The Holidays bring some of the most beloved films. From Home Alone to Love Actually to A Charlie Brown Christmas, there is certainly something to get your guests in the spirit. To help you celebrate, we’ve created a menu perfect for a screening of the season’s classics. Highlights include a deluxe Jumbo Popcorn Bar ranging from Classic Salted to Bourbon Caramel and everything you can imagine in between. You guests can mix their savory with their sweet with our Chocolate Milk Bar and then decorating their own cupcakes.
Keep your decor cozy as casual. Look to dark green hues as your base to evoke that cabin, fireside feeling. Accent with festive snowmen, snowflake cut outs and get your guests involved with their favorite Holiday Sweater.

Champagne & Caviar
The name says it all. We start off this decidedly more glamorous fête with a rolling champagne cart. Our passed hors d’oeuvres continue the elegance with Chianti Braised Short Ribs or Caramelized Pear and Fontina Tartlets as a vegetarian option. We anchor the evening with a Raw Bar Station, displaying our decadent Swordfish Ceviche. To balance the meal, we compliment the seafood with our antipasto. Our Strawberries & Cream Canapé is just one of the featured passed desserts closing out the evening.
Draw your design inspiration from the rolling champagne cart and channel the roaring twenties. Use black tablecloths and gold accents. Anthropologie offers some great gold pennant garlands and black and white table accessories.
