Chelsea Factory
A nonprofit incubation and presentation space for artists and community groups
Chelsea Factory is a reimagined cultural space created to respond to the needs of New York City’s artists, cultural organizations, and community groups as we navigate beyond the Covid-19 pandemic. Located in the heart of Manhattan, Chelsea Factory occupies an industrial, landmarked building with a vibrant history—previously housing the first taxi fleets and the former studio and home of renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Chelsea Factory is available to rent for a wide variety of intimate and larger-scale events, with all rental income directly subsidizing New York City-based artists’ use of the space. With 8,675 square feet of flexible event space, the venue can transform for countless events including galas, fashion shows, conferences, and experiential pop-ups.
